Projects & Experience

Experience

Prior to opening Condon Construction, LLC, Mark founded Condon Brothers, Inc. in 1983 and five years later the firm had grown into a prominent and well respected West Coast rail contractor completing over 1000 rail-related projects during a 15-year period.  Under Mark’s leadership and based upon the success of Condon Brothers, Inc., Mark became the Founding Company President and General Manager of Condon/Railworks which was formed in 1998 and taken public in 2000 as Railworks Track Systems, Inc. Subsequently, the firm became the largest track contractor in the United States.  In 2003, Mark became Senior Construction Manager for Integrated Concepts & Research Corporation (ICRC) spearheading the 400+ million-dollar Port Expansion Project in Anchorage, Alaska among other projects.

Projects

Condon joined forces with Balfour Beatty Rail Inc. in 2004 as their Western United States Regional Manager.  His regional division maintained the company’s top safety record and highest cost efficiency rating for the five consecutive years of his tenure with the company.  As Vice President and Principal of R&R General Contractors, Inc., Mark spearheaded an extensive project under a strict and short timeline, severe weather conditions and stringent Alaska Corp of Engineers guidelines. The reconstruction of 21,000 track feet, including the construction of ten concrete panel road crossings and nine turn-outs, was completed according to client requirements and Corp of Engineers standards. He was also the team leader for the construction of a refueling facility for Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, AK.
